Private health forms a fundamental part of our country. It is the complement of the public sector and it is a sector that cares for millions of patients. In this regard, in 2022 this group acquired the operations of the H+ Hospitals in Los Cabos and Querétaro. Thanks to this movement, it became the chain with the second largest number of private hospitals in Mexico.
However, the growth plans have not ended because the Grupo de Hospitales MAC inaugurated its new Hospital in León, Guanajuato. It is the most modern private medical-hospital complex in the state as it has state-of-the-art technology. This new development brings quality and highly specialized private medical services closer to the region so that the inhabitants do not travel long distances to attend to their health.
Characteristics of the new hospital
He Hospital MAC Leon It is the most important private hospital development in the history of the state of Guanajuato. It has more than 85,000 m2 of total construction focused on specialized medical care for patients. It contemplated a direct investment that was close to 2,000 million pesos and the direct and permanent jobs that will be generated will be greater than 500 people.
The new MAC Leo Hospitaln, is located on Boulevard Aeropuerto in front of Altacia and will open its doors to the general public in the coming weeks. It plans to become a benchmark in the area due to its high medical specialization and the state-of-the-art technology with which it is equipped, as well as the modern facilities it has.
The complex is made up of 343 medical offices, with 42 rooms, 60 total beds, intelligent operating rooms, Hemodynamics room, one of the most advanced in the country, to care for and prevent one of the most common causes of death in Mexico such as heart attacks.
It also has hemodialysis room, nuclear medicine, advanced imaging, auxiliary services, 24-hour emergencies, intermediate therapy, intensive therapy and coronary therapy, and a large research institute, to continue developing great technological advances with the best surgeons and medical specialists.
All construction was carried out in accordance with the highest standards, using clean technologies and 100% respecting the city’s construction regulations, it was also carried out with the needs of doctors, patients and family members in mind.
Increase in private health
On the other hand, on March 30 the Grupo de Hospitales MAC opened its MediMAC unit in Guanajuato, located inside the Alaïa shopping center in the state capital. Although it is a smaller hospital than the MAC León Hospital, it has advanced technology equipment. It has 16 spacious rooms, 25 consulting rooms, 2 intelligent operating rooms, hemodialysis, tomography and advanced imaging. The investment was more than 250 million pesos and will directly employ more than 150 people.
With these two new hospitals, the MAC Hospital Group has a total of 20 hospitals in 17 cities of the country. With this, it is already the hospital chain in the country with the greatest geographical presence, surpassing all other hospital groups in Mexico in just 15 years.
