Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) told Federal Police agents this Wednesday (26) that he mistakenly published on a social network, when he was under the influence of medication, a video questioning the reliability of electronic ballot boxes two days after the coup attacks on the headquarters of the three Powers.

The version was reported by representatives of Bolsonaro’s defense after testifying for two hours at the PF, as part of the investigation into the events of January 8. The former president’s post was removed after going viral.

Bolsonaro declared in the framework of the investigation that he is looking for the intellectual authors of the attack that led to the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Planalto Palace, the Parliament and the STF (Federal Supreme Court).

Throughout his term (2019-2022), Bolsonaro made coup statements on several occasions and, when he lost the elections, he refused to recognize the result.
