At least 12 people have been killed in a gas pipeline explosion in Karachi. A gas pipeline that had been installed in an underground sewer in Sharjah, Karachi, Pakistan, suddenly exploded today. Nearby buildings, including the bank building, were also damaged. Cars and two-wheelers were also damaged.

Rescuers rushed to the scene and rescued those trapped in the rubble. Twelve people were killed in the incident. 13 were injured. They were immediately admitted to the hospital. Recovery work is ongoing. Bomb experts are investigating the incident. No official announcement has been made as to the cause of the gas pipeline explosion.
