Kuwait City: Iqama (Residence Permit) will be revoked if domestic workers in Kuwait leave the country for more than six months. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Interior on Twitter. The deadline is December 1, 2021. If you are out of the country after six months, the iqama will be canceled voluntarily.

Due to the Kovid crisis, travel bans imposed by various countries remained in place and the process of revoking the iqama was suspended for a period of six months. This is what has now been resumed. If their domestic workers have been living outside Kuwait for more than six months, the natives must submit a separate application. The application has to be submitted before the six-month period starting from December 1. It has been informed that a decision in this regard will be taken after examining each application separately.
