Chis is a still secret project which, when it sees the light of day, could put France and Europe back in the running in the frantic race for artificial intelligence, currently dominated by the United States and China. Gathering under the code name Mistral, experienced French researchers in AI, some of whom have gone through the best laboratories in the world, those of DeepMind or Fair, Facebook’s artificial intelligence laboratory, are mobilizing.
