Hit and run in Nahariya: A private car driver hit a pedestrian, injured her and fled the scene

The police center received a report this evening, Saturday, regarding an accident between a private vehicle and a pedestrian in Nahariya.

The investigation shows that the driver of a private vehicle hit a pedestrian while crossing a crosswalk and slightly injured her (according to medical sources).

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old resident of Nahariya, was evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.

The traffic inspectors of the Israel Police began investigating the circumstances of the accident, and after scanning and hard work, the driver of the offending vehicle, a 32-year-old resident of Nahariya, was located and detained for questioning at the Nahariya police station.

At the end of his interrogation the offending driver was released, his license revoked for 30 days and his vehicle towed to the police station.
