Despite the promulgation of the law, the opposition to the pension reform continues, with a new big day of mobilization on May 1. Actions were launched on the morning of Friday 28 April.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, early in the morning, around fifty people belonging to the CGT Cheminots et Bâtiment demonstrated in front of the site of the future Olympic swimming pool. They protested against the lack of security on the site and against the pension reform. “The goal is to show that the mobilizations continue”says Sami Charifi, general secretary of the Paris-Est railway workers.

Actions all over France

Distribution of leaflets, filter barriers: the objective is to maintain the pressure at all costs to try to make the government bend, as in front of the Stade de France where the final of the Coupe de France is to be played, at which the head of the State will attend without descending on the lawn. The day before, the unions claimed responsibility for the power cut that occurred during a rugby match. The SNCF called for a general strike on May 1. Almost a third of flights will be canceled at Paris and other airports, with repercussions on the roads for the first returns from holidays and weekends.
