Everything is going hard for Barcelona this year and tonight (Saturday) it was especially difficult. The Catalans were already leading 0-2 over Elche from the bottom after a simply great first half, but managed to lose the lead within one minute in the second half and saw the opponent return to 2-2. But five minutes before the end of the great game, a winning goal by Nico Gonzalez made it 2: 3 and a streak of three games without a win for the Catalans. The game, like all Spanish league games, was broadcast on Channel ONE for HOT subscribers, yes subscribers, Cellcom TV and Partner TV.
The Catalans, who were just five minutes away from a streak of four games without a win for the first time since 2009, enjoyed an excellent game from Xavi’s youngsters, who were in charge of scoring the three goals.
22-year-old Fran Jotgala, who made his debut in the squad, scored the first goal in the 16th minute with a shot from Dembele’s cooking, who presented a simply amazing first half with some wonderful dedication to his teammates. Three minutes later, 17-year-old Gabi also scored his first goal in the Catalan team’s uniform, after a wonderful operation. The host was very dangerous and came up with several more good opportunities, but failed to add the third and went down to the break with a 0: 2 advantage.
The guest did not say desperate, Francisco made four substitutions in the first quarter of the second half, and his substitutes responded hugely. Tata Morante scored a great shrinking goal in the 62nd minute and after one minute cooked for another substitute, Pre Mia, the equalizer that put the 41,116 spectators at the Camp Nou in shock. But the final word was from Catalan Docu’s replacement, 19-year-old Nico Gonzalez, who in the 85th minute kicked in from the center of the extension with all his heart after Gabi’s cooking and gave his team the win.
Thanks to the victory, Barça rose at least temporarily to seventh place, just three points away from fourth place leading to the Champions League. Elch, who is left with only the compliments, is still only two points from the red line.
