The AIADMK bought Rs 3 crore on the pretext of getting jobs in various government departments, including former minister Rajendra Balaji Avin. Sathur Raveendran, AIADMK, former Union Secretary Advocate Vijay Nallathambi lodged a separate complaint with the Virudhunagar District Crime Branch Police alleging fraud in not returning the money. Accordingly a case was registered against Rajendra Balaji and some others. The Chennai High Court has dismissed a petition filed by Rajendra Balaji seeking pre-bail. Following this, four special forces have been formed to arrest Rajendra Balaji and the police are searching for him.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Balaji’s nephews Ramana, 34, Vasantha Kumar, 38, and car driver Rajkumar, 47 were detained at the Tiruthangal station by the personal police. The investigation was conducted. Upon learning of this, the party besieged the station demanding the release of the three. Police took him to the Virudhunagar District Crime Branch office at 4:00 am and continued the investigation.

Upon learning of this, more than 20 AIADMK activists gathered in front of the SP office yesterday morning. At the entrance to the Collector’s Office, S.P., police were engaged in security work in front of the office. The DSP, Archana spoke and allowed the AIADMK, a lawyer, to go to the crime branch office alone.

The trial ended at 3:00 pm and the three were released. In this situation, two more special forces have been set up to arrest Rajendra Balaji. Meanwhile, Rajendra Balaji’s party has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking pre-bail.
