National goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has expressed reservations about speculation about a departure from coach Oliver Glasner.
“In the end it’s always like this in football: Some come and others go. That’s the way it is in this business, we have to put up with it,” said the 32-year-old goalkeeper of the Bundesliga soccer team after Saturday’s game against FC Augsburg (1:1). “Everyone can decide for themselves. It’s like the players. Everyone has to know what they’re up to.”
If you read the coach’s interviews, you can assume “that he will still be on the bench next year”. “So that’s what he says first. We’re not responsible for what the coach does then,” said Trapp.
The Austrian coach won the Europa League and reached the Champions League with Eintracht last year. After a negative series of nine Bundesliga games without a win, a discussion about Glasner is currently underway. But Trapp warns: “We have to make sure that we have the heads at the club in the next four weeks. Then everyone can decide for themselves.”
