The Federal Court of Espírito Santo reported that, until the end of Thursday afternoon (27), there was no communication from Telegram to appeal the order to suspend service in Brazil or respond to the request for information from the authorities in charge of Investigate threats to schools.

The agents in charge of the investigations within the Federal Police did not receive data from the platform either, according to what Folha has learned. The case is in the hands of the Division for Combating Terrorism, a sector of the intelligence area of the corporation.

In a decision last Tuesday (25), the 1st Federal Court of Linhares (ES) determined the blocking of the chat application and imposed a daily fine of R$ 1 million (US$ 199,500) if the company does not cooperate with the PF and provides complete data on users suspected of spreading criminal material.

The newspaper contacted the lawyer representing Telegram in Brazil this Wednesday (26) and this Thursday, but received no response.

The platform was required to send the information to the police after the investigation into the attack on two schools in Aracruz (ES), which occurred in November last year, identified that the person responsible, aged 16, participated in groups with antisemitic tendencies.
