Cuban painter draws Joaquín Sabina and the portrait reaches the hands of the Spanish singer
The Cuban painter Leandro Sosa Pérez, based in Madrid, portrayed in one of his paintings the important Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina, without imagining the happy coincidence that the work could be seen by the legendary singer, much less be part of his private collection.
“When Sabina tells you that your work is going to her gallery. A dream come true”, this is how Leo Sosa —as the cartoonist is nicknamed in his artist accounts— described the emotional moment of Joaquín Sabina’s encounter with the piece on social networks.

Visas to Mexico for Cubans are less than 60% of the procedures handled at the Consulate
The Consulate of Mexico in Cuba boasted of attending 1,315 procedures during the month of April; however, visa processes to travel to Mexican territory covered only 58% of that figure while the rest included legalization of documents, Mexican passports, and birth registrations.
According to the data provided by the embassy, on business days of the fourth month of the year, only 764 visa procedures were attended, a figure much lower than the existing demand. Thousands of Cubans seek to travel to Mexico for family reunification, tourist visas, work contracts and scholarships.
Everyone must go to the consular office to process their visa, but first they must get an appointment that is only available when the Citas Cuba web portal opens once every three months.
