The car, which was on the road at 04.30 on the TEM Highway in Sultanbeyli, started to catch fire. As the driver of 34 LS 8869 plate car was moving towards Edirne, the smoke started to rise in the engine part. Then the driver pulled the car to the safety lane, called the fire department and asked for help. The flames surrounding the car in a short time were extinguished by the firefighters who came to the scene.
The car became unusable after the fire. Police launched an investigation into the incident.
