The 1is May, the world celebrated International Labor Day. Workers from the public and private sectors of Guinea gathered at the September 28 stadium in Conakry, alongside the authorities of the Transition, for the celebration.
From abroad, Cellou Dalein Diallo, the leader of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (Ufdg), declared: “On the occasion of the International Labor Day celebrated each year, it is a pleasure for me to address my hearty congratulations to the workers of Guinea and of the world, also to wish them an excellent celebration.”
It indicates that International Labor Day is an occasion to “salute the invaluable contributions of our fellow workers to the improvement of the living conditions of their families and to the economic and social progress of our country.”
For the political leader, Guinean workers deserve “recognition and support” in their struggle for the respect of their rights and the improvement of their living and working conditions.
