The club from Toruń is disappointing in PGE Ekstraliga for the time being. The team, which was supposed to be one of the favorites to win the medal, fails on the whole line. The players of Robert Sawina lost last Thursday in Krosno to Cellfast Wilkom 40:50, and a day later they suffered another defeat, this time in Leszno (41:49).

Robert Lambert was in terrible form in Podkarpacie, scoring only … two points in the whole match. It was one of the weaker meetings of the 25-year-old during his career with the club from Grod Kopernika. Many Toruń fans hoped that a day later in Leszno, the Briton would confirm that his earlier performance was just an accident at work, but they were disappointed again.
Lambert won at the stadium. Alfred Smoczyk only ten points in six starts, and lost m. with teenage Nazar Parnicki, for whom it was a debut in PGE Ekstraliga.
However, there are many indications that the Briton quickly drew conclusions after these two unsuccessful meetings. The breakthrough was the performance in Saturday’s Croatian Grand Prix. Lambert took second place there, giving way only to Bartosz Zmarzlik.
On Tuesday, it was time for another phenomenal performance, this time at the Swedish Bauhaus-Ligan at the track in Hallstavik. The 25-year-old finished the competition with seventeen points, losing only once to Timo Lahti. Despite this, Eskilstuna Smederna had to recognize the superiority of the hosts.
