The Russian national biathlon team won the mixed relay (4 x 6 km) at the IBU Cup in Obertilliach, Austria. This was announced on Sunday, December 19, by Sport-Express.

The Russian team includes Anastasia Shevchenko, Anastasia Goreeva, Nikita Porshnev and Maxim Tsvetkov. They covered the distance without penalty loops, using 6 additional rounds at 8 firing lines.

The Norwegian team finished second, 54.8 seconds behind the Russians. The Italian team closed the top three, 1 minute and 26.5 seconds behind the first place winners.

The day before, on December 18, Russian biathlete Eduard Latypov won silver in the pursuit race at the World Cup in Annecy.

On December 12, the Russian men’s biathlon team took third place in the relay at the World Cup in Hochfilzen. The Russian national team was represented by Vasily Tomshin, Daniil Serokhvostov, Alexander Loginov and Eduard Latypov. The Norwegians came first to the finish line, the French were the second.
