Music can generate endless emotions to its listeners. These emotions can be greatly exacerbated during a live concert, leading the viewer to experience very powerful sensations, and sometimes even uncomfortable.

On April 29, hundreds of people gathered at the Walt Disney Concert Hall to enjoy a concert by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The group was interpreting the second movement of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s fifth symphony when suddenly, the gasp of a woman came out of the audience, causing the astonishment of all those present, because in this type of event, it is not common that a person screams with euphoria like in most concerts.

The Philharmonic continued its presentation without paying attention to the strange noise, however, after the show, attendees, journalists, musicians and organizers began to comment on Twitter that this strange noise was an orgasm.

One of the attendees at the show was the musician and composer Magnus Fiennes, who narrated the events as follows:

“I went to see the Los Angeles Philharmonic play Tchaikovsky last night. A woman in the audience had a strong orgasm during the second movement of the 5th. The band continued politely. A round of applause to the Los Angeles Philharmonic (and Pytor Ilyich) for bringing it on.”

Molly Grant was another of the spectators of the show who lived closely the peculiar cry of the woman who until now remains anonymous. Grant defined as “beautiful” the moment that the girl lived during the concert.

“Everyone turned to see what was happening. I saw the girl after it had happened, and I guess…she had an orgasm because she was breathing hard, and her partner was smiling at her and looking at her, as if in an effort not to embarrass her. He was very pretty ”.

Lukas Burton, a music agent present at the function, also shares the theory that what happened to the woman was a genuine orgasm, as he assures that it was a sound perfectly synchronized with the music created by Tchaikovsky in 1888. Burton described this moment as “wonderful and refreshing”.

“You can’t tell exactly what happened, but it seemed very clear from the sound that it was an expression of pure physical joy. Sort of the classical music equivalent of that scene in a movie where someone is speaking loudly at a party or club, and all of a sudden the song stops and says something that everyone hears.”

However, not everyone agrees with the idea that this was an orgasm. When Fiennes shared his experience on Twitter, another concertgoer claimed the woman had a “breakdown of some sort.”

Another member of the public who asked to remain anonymous to speak about the subject, commented that this was not an orgasm, but an attack of narcolepsy, a condition that causes the sufferer to fall asleep suddenly. In this way, the woman screamed when she woke up scared.

“Quickly, he landed on his partner’s shoulders and then onto his lap. And then his body went limp. About five seconds later, he woke up, and that’s when he screamed.”
