The Committee on the Classification of Countries in the Ministry of Health recommended that the government declare Italy, the United States, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, Portugal, Canada, Switzerland and Turkey as red states. A red state is a state to which entry is prohibited except with an exceptional permit, and all returnees from a red state will be charged with full isolation. Returns from red countries:
• Defenders returning to Israel from red countries – After performing the test at Ben Gurion Airport, they will sign the “agreement” and enter home isolation for 7 days, at the end of which they will be required to perform another PCR test. After a negative answer in this test, the above will be released from isolation.
• Returns to Israel from red countries are not protected – After performing a PCR test at Ben Gurion Airport, they will be referred for isolation in a motel until the test result is obtained, after which:
(•) If the test result is negative, the above will sign the “contract” and be transferred to home isolation to complete the isolation days for 7 days, at the end of which they will be required to perform another PCR test.
(•) If the test result is positive, the above will remain in the motel until recovery.
Orange countries: All other countries of the world that are not red. An orange country is a country with a severe travel warning, and the Ministry of Health recommends that the public avoid traveling to these countries.
Returning from an orange country: Vaccinated or recovering – will be able to get out of isolation after receiving a negative test result performed from the 3rd day of landing in Israel (the day of landing is the first day).
Those who are not vaccinated or recovering – will be able to leave isolation only after receiving a negative test result performed on the day starting from the 7th day of landing in Israel (the day of landing is the first day).
Yellow countries: At this point the list is empty. A yellow country is a country where the risk of getting corona is low.
