Kochi: As part of the Golden Jubilee of the Eye Bank – Little Flower Hospital at Angamaly, Mammootty has dedicated the “Vision 3 2021” project to Mammootty Nadu, a joint venture between Care and Share International Foundation, a charitable organization led by Mammootty, and Little Flower Hospital.

Mammootty said that he was proud to be a part of a project in collaboration with Little Flower Hospital, which has made Angamaly a city of sights. The launch of the Reach 2 “project also coincided with this.

The new project is a continuation of the two vision projects that Mammootty himself had implemented earlier. Vision Three includes one lakh free eye examinations for adults in Kerala and Lakshadweep, school screening programs for half a lakh children, five thousand cataract surgeries and eye transplant surgeries.

The project coincides with the Golden Jubilee of Angamaly Little Flower Eye Bank, the first private sector eye bank in Kerala. Vision One and Two are known as the largest eye care projects implemented in the name of an individual. The new scheme focuses on more welfare schemes for the tribal community. Through this, the Care & Share International Foundation and Littleflower Hospital will work together to find deserving people. In collaboration with the project, eye screenings and 50 free cataract surgeries will be conducted at various camps for over half a million people and more than 50,000 children where required.

For the past six decades, the Little Flower Hospital, a community-based healthcare center in Kerala, has been the only hospital in the health sector, especially in the field of ophthalmology, with sub-clinics and allied services, as well as 27 clinical care units. We are happy to say that we have reached the third phase and we have seen the rarity of a charitable project having two parts and both of them being a resounding success through Mammootty’s ‘eye sight’ project which has benefited tens of thousands of people. Carrying, Mar Anthony said to Carrie.

LF Hospital is the first private sector eye bank in India to collect the largest number of retinas and then the number of eye transplants used in Kerala for eye transplant surgery. The management has decided to provide medical assistance of over Rs. The Golden Jubilee has collected over 24,000 eyes, of which more than 17,500 have already been opened, officials said.

Beneficiaries of the surgery are identified through eye treatment camps. Mammootty Fans and Welfare Association International activists are also part of the project. Individuals and organizations with the ability and willingness to organize camps in Kerala and Lakshadweep can be part of the scheme.
