ANALYSIS – While several important international meetings are looming, a general consensus has crystallized between European States on the subject of Ukraine.
They move hand in hand, in parallel. As the Ukrainian counter-offensive looms, Western forces step up their aid to the kyiv government. This is also the case of France, which should, in the next three weeks, provide new weapons and additional ammunition to the Ukrainian armed forces. This initiative was at the heart of the one and a half hour telephone interview that Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky had on Sunday April 30. “The Ukrainians now have proof that France believes in their military capacity to reconquer the territories occupied by Russia”comments a Ukrainian diplomatic source.
