A 60-year-old man was taken into custody on May 1 in the premises of the gendarmerie of Saint-Pol-de-Léon (Finistère). The investigators wanted to hear him on the very serious facts committed against his goddaughter. Barely 6 years old, the girl would have denounced multiple acts of rape and sexual assault committed in 2022 and 2023.
According to the victim, her godfather forced her to have sex when she went to her home in Brest. The public prosecutor Camille Miansoni evokes “fellatios, anal penetrations and cunnilingus” imposed on the girl.
It is a relative of the child who collected the heavy secret and denounced the facts to the gendarmes. At the end of his police custody, the 60-year-old mechanic was placed in pre-trial detention. An investigating judge has been appointed to oversee the investigation. The respondent is known to the courts for a 2019 conviction but “unrelated to the charges”, according to the prosecutor.
