After the referee project with ex-national players Anton Stach and Nils Petersen as directors of an amateur game, a prominent footballer is now slipping into the role of referee.
Jennifer Cramer (30) from Bundesliga club Turbine Potsdam will officiate the women’s state league game between SG Blau-Weiss Pessin and SV Babelsberg 03 on May 14 (1 p.m.). This was announced by the Brandenburg State Football Association and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. The campaign is part of the “FFiF – For (more) women in football” project.
Jennifer Cramer – European Champion of 2013 and two-time German Champion – will be supported by the experienced referees Kathleen Werner and Stefanie Schick at her premiere as a referee. In March, Stach from FSV Mainz 05 and Petersen from SC Freiburg led the district league game between VfR Nierstein and TSV Mommenheim. The German Football Association has been complaining about the declining number of referees for years. These actions are intended to promote the important office. (dpa)
