Sorocaba City Hall renews public transport fleet: new, more modern and sustainable buses

The Municipality of Sorocaba, through Urbes – Trânsito e Transportes, put into operation three new articulated buses and one electric bus, made available by transport companies.

The new buses are more modern, with air conditioning, an elevator for wheelchair users, wireless internet and a USB port for charging electronic devices.

The City Hall is advancing in the incorporation of electric buses in the fleet of Sorocaba, having successfully tested a super-articulated electric bus and now starting a second phase of tests with a smaller model.

Currently, Sorocaba operates with 371 public transport buses on 119 lines, transporting around 4.7 million passengers per month.
