On the occasion of the primary school’s annual May celebration on Haldenbergerstraße, the students presented a donation of 550 euros to the squirrel emergency hotline in Munich.
The money comes from the school’s Christmas bazaar, where the school children could buy handicrafts for a voluntary contribution. In a vote, the girls and boys decided to donate part of the considerable proceeds to the squirrel emergency call center in Munich. The non-profit organization Squirrel Protection eV cares for injured animals and takes care of their release into the wild.
Surrounded by traditional dances and the performance of spring songs, the 2nd chairwoman, Sabine Schödl, accepted the donation from the students with great joy and answered the many curious questions the children had about squirrels.
