Kuwait City: A huge Christmas tree has been removed from Avenues Mall, Kuwait’s main shopping center. The move comes amid widespread complaints that it is incompatible with Islamic Sharia and Kuwaiti culture. The Christmas tree was set up on Avenues, one of the largest shopping malls in Kuwait, to coincide with the Christmas season. No official response has been received on the incident in which the Christmas tree was removed from the mall.

Meanwhile, there were complaints about the statue being erected in a shopping mall in Kuwait last August. A mall in the country has received an online complaint against the statue of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty according to Greek mythology. The statue was removed by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce.
