10 tonnes of ration rice smuggled to Andhra Pradesh has been confiscated near the Senrayan Sami Temple on the highway leading to Bachur Kuppam next to Natrampalli in Tirupati district.

Regional Supply Officer Natarajan, led by Governor Poongodi, was involved in the investigation into the alleged smuggling of tons of ration rice to outlying states like Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in the vicinity of Tirupati district.
Then they seized 10 tons of ration rice with a lorry on the highway from Pachur to Kuppam next to Natrampalli. The driver then left the truck there and fled. The confiscated 10 tonnes of ration rice was handed over by lorry to a consumer goods warehouse in Vaniyambadi. The Civil Crimes Investigation Division police have registered a case and are searching the web for the fugitive.
