MADRID, 10 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The National Assembly of France has approved this Wednesday night the creation of a commission of investigation into violent groups in demonstrations after a neo-Nazi concentration during the weekend has raised controversy in the country.

The Chamber has given the ‘green light’ to the commission by 204 votes in favor to 47 against. Specifically, the measure has the objective of investigating the structure, financing, means and methods of action of violent groups, fundamentally of the extreme right.

During the session, the deputy Julien Odoul, from the far-right National Group, charged against the initiative, arguing that “extreme left groups benefit from media benevolence and total impunity.”

From La Francia Insumisa they have accused the Renaissance party of wanting to divert attention from the police brutality experienced during the demonstrations for the pension reform. “Police brutality must be investigated,” sentenced the French deputy Ugo Bernalicis, the French parliamentary channel reported.

For his part, the deputy Florent Boudié, from Renacimiento, has faced Bernalicis. “You want a commission of investigation on police violence, because you consider that it is above all the Police and the Government that are violent, and that is unacceptable,” he has sentenced.

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin called on French prefectures to ban all far-right demonstrations after a controversial neo-Nazi rally in the capital Paris on Saturday.

The ban on Darmanin has taken effect this Wednesday, when the Secretary of State for Citizenship, Sonia Backès, has announced that a demonstration called by the far-right monarchist group French Action for the weekend in the French capital has not been approved. .
