A huge fire broke out in the center of Milanin northern Italy, after a van loaded with oxygen tanks will burst into flames, for which several of the vehicles that were parked around it caught fire. In addition, the incident caused an intense cloud of black smoke that forced the evacuation of a nearby school.
According to the local media Corriere della Sera, so far there would only be a slightly injured, the driver of the vehicle, who suffered burns on one of his hands and one of his legs. He himself saved his life after jumping out of the van in time.
The shocking explosion occurred around 11:30 a.m. local time (6:30 a.m. in Argentina) on Pier Lombardo street, located in the downtown area of roman door. According to witnesses to the event, the explosion and flames were caused by a van carrying oxygen tanks apparently destined for the Humanitas Mater Domini hospital.
In this regard, firefighters specified that the fire broke out in the area of the motor vehicle. Although the driver tried to put out the flames, his attempts were in vain, since the truck was loaded with 20 oxygen cylinders of 32 liters eachwhich means a large load of a highly flammable gas.
In turn, they were involved in the accident four cars and some motorcycles that were stationed in the area, as well as a nearby pharmacy and the buildings on the street where the explosion took place.

The Italian Auxological Institute medical center also had to be evacuated for the same reason. The fire was brought under control in a little over half an hour.
“We have safely evacuated the school located on the other side of the street, which is attended by almost 300 children and young people,” he said.
