Faced with the resurgence of terrorist attacks and the clear desire of these armed groups to settle on Beninese territory, the party Movement of Engaged Elites for the Emancipation of Benin (Moele-Benin) plans to initiate a broad national consultation. The information was made public through a press release dated May 9, 2023 and signed by the president of the party, Jacques Ayadji. The ambition is to defeat the project of terrorist groups, to establish themselves on Beninese soil. To this end, the Moele-Benin party appeals to all the living forces of the Nation to stand alongside the government and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) already engaged in a relentless fight against acts of crime. Thus, the press release indicates that “everyone will make their contribution to the preservation of peace and the co-production of security in synergy with the competent services of the Republic”. In addition, the National Political Bureau instructed the Commission in charge of defense and security issues of the party to carry out the appropriate reflections in order to submit as soon as possible to the government concrete proposals relating to the fight against terrorism. “It is united and united that we will triumph over evil, and no one will be too many in this fight” emphasizes Jacques Ayadji. The Moele-Benin party takes this opportunity to present to the people of Benin and to the bereaved families, its sincere and deep condolences and expresses wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
