One head sticks out a little more than the others, these days, on the benches of the National Assembly. Not that Bertrand Pancher, centrist deputy of the Meuse and passionate about giraffes, did not need to lengthen his neck disproportionately to make himself visible. But the boss of the little-known parliamentary group Independent Liberty Overseas and Territories (pronounced “Liote”) takes a little more light than usual: he and his family will defend in early June a bill to reverse the postponement of the age legal retirement age at 64, voluntarily putting a coin in the jukebox in the political and social crisis that the country has gone through.
