Mumbai: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has thanked a Mumbai police traffic policeman for saving the life of an injured friend who was rushed to a hospital on time. On November 30, Tendulkar’s friend had an accident. And suffered a spinal cord injury. The traffic policeman rushed the girl to Nanavati hospital on time. Tendulkar tweeted that the world is beautiful because there are people like you.
He sustained a spinal injury in the accident. But Tendulkar also mentioned that he was careful not to get injured on the way to the hospital. Tendulkar’s friend was traveling in an autorickshaw when he was hit by a large vehicle. Suresh Dumse, a policeman who was on duty at the time, rushed to the rescue. The husband of the injured woman was informed. Dumsey says her husband called a few days later and told her she was in good health.
Dumsey said that a few days later, Sachin Tendulkar came in person and thanked him. But Dumsey added that he did not tell anyone and did not tell anyone because he was convinced it was his duty to do so. He said he could not express the joy of being complimented by someone like Tendulkar.
