A member of the good breakaway, the Italian Davide Bais won at the top of the Gran Sasso.
Italian Davide Bais (Eolo-Kometa) won the 7th stage of the Tour of Italy on Friday at the top of the Gran Sasso d’Italia, after a breakaway of more than 200 kilometers.
At 25, this is the first victory of his career on the world tour circuit. He spent the whole day in front with the Czech Karel Vacek (Corratec), second, and his compatriot Simone Petilli (Intermarché), third.
No change in general, the favorites are neutralized, the Norwegian Andreas Leknessund retains the pink jersey. He still has a lead of 28 seconds over world champion Remco Evenepoel. The French Aurélien Paret-Peintre remains third at 30 seconds from the pink jersey.
