Teddy Riner defeats world number one and reaches the final

The French judoka won against world number one Rakhimov in just over 30 seconds and advanced to the final.

Teddy Riner, back at the Worlds after a six-year absence, qualified for the +100 kg final on Saturday at the World Judo Championships in Doha.

In the semi-finals, the French beat the Tajik Temur Rakhimov, world No.1 in the category, in less than thirty seconds. He will face in the final the Russian competing under neutral Inal Tasoev to try to get an eleventh world star.
