The identity agenda has produced unusual situations, to say the least, involving even the hiring of candidates in competitions. This time, for example, an LGBT judge tried to prohibit the entry of “heterosexuals” in a selection for the Court of Justice of Bahia (TJ-BA).

This is Judge Mário Soares Caymmi Gomes, from the 12th Consumer Relations Court in Salvador. The case involving his controversial decision went viral in the country in January of that year, but has only now had new developments.

In his decision, the magistrate said that the selection for the TJ-BA would give priority to “trans and non-binary” people, as well as those of “black color” and “declared gays and lesbians”, in addition to “black women”.

According to the tender notice, the judge also made a point of highlighting that “there will be no hiring, under any circumstances, of cisgender and heterosexual people”.

decision is barred

The discriminatory initiative on the part of the LGBT magistrate, on the other hand, provoked the reaction of the judge José Rocha Rotondano, who is the Inspector General of Justice of Bahia.

That’s because, last week, Rotondano ended up vetoing the invitation to tender proposed by Caymmi, which provoked the anger of the LGBT judge. The magistrate even made accusations against the judge, suggesting he was perplexed by the decision.

“What caused me the greatest discomfort is that this determination came from an inspector who is gay, even though he does not come out. This is not gossip. It has to do with the case. I know he is gay, because he had an affair with my husband, before he met me, he was married to a boy who was a councilor of Mata de São João”, said Caymmi, according to the iBahia.

A day after the LGBT judge’s accusations, the judge used social networks to say that he lacks “space to worry about insanity!” informed the Jornal da Chapada.
