Actor Chandrababu was born in Tuticorin district. Chandrababu made his film debut in 1947 with PS Ramaiah’s Amaravati. He made his debut in the film industry as a comedian and later went on to act as a hero in films like Akhtar Awadi Manman, Kumararaja. Apart from acting, Chandrababu has talents such as singing, music, painting, directing and sculpting. Chandrababu, who was at the height of his fame, died at the age of 47.

After the marriage, Chandrababu took his wife to Bangalore for honeymoon. For six months, both of them had a family. Knowing that his wife was not happy, Chandrababu understood that she was remembering her old lover and left him to join him. Later his wife married her lover.

It is said that Chandrababu helped him a lot despite his separation from his wife. After this, Chandrababu became addicted to alcohol. Chandrababu got into debt after some of the films he starred in and directed failed. The debt crisis led to the foreclosure of his dream home. Devastated by this, Chandrababu is said to have died in 1974.
