In Hatay, Kemal Kiliçdaroglu is in the lead with only 300 votes (48.07% against 48.03%). Recep Tayyip Erdogan had finished in the lead, but with a close score (48.5%) in 2018. His party fell by 3 points, to 33.59%, but remained in the lead. On the other hand, participation fell by 5 points.
In Gaziantep province, with a similar turnout, the president’s score crumbles (from 63.9% in 2018 to 59.76% in 2023), but he remains well ahead. In the legislative elections, the AKP, which had already fallen by 10 points between 2015 and 2018 (from 61.4% to 51.4%) continues this trend and falls to 44.86%.
