Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ visit to Rhodes reminded us of a traveling troupe of a tragedy with a poorly written script. A Government that deforested the Health System, with Hospitals and Health Structures understaffed and broken infrastructure, that neglected the heavy industry of the country, with a tourism product on the automatic standing only from the efforts of individuals and workers in Tourism and with cities dirty incompetent to withstand the arrival of millions of Tourists, which abolished labor rights, with workers exploited by employers with grueling hours, which saw foreign policy as an area of ​​internal consumption, with neighboring threats halted in the last two months due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey, which it was unable to connect the islands, creating constant ferry messes and expensive air connections.

During the days of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the Dodecanese:

· the rotten barges connect our islands degrading the quality and safety of transport while ignoring the dangers pointed out by the authorities risking our lives in transport.

· a family of three who wants to visit Athens has to pay 1,200 euros in plane tickets alone.

· it was necessary to transfer a patient from Kastellorizo ​​to Turkey, and he still has the audacity to talk to us about Health and Foreign Policy.

· we saw the brutal violation of labor rights in Tourism, workers not being paid and our islands becoming modern “slave trade” areas for third country nationals.

· the spies of the neighboring countries are frolicking with the ships of the line, at the same time that the Secret Services of the country, instead of doing their job, are watching the President of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis.

· we survived by accident and luck.

The demands of the islanders constitute the program of PASOK, whose positions the neoliberal New Democracy cannot implement. Restoration of the reduced VAT rates on the islands, extension of the unemployment benefit

until May, reinstate Collective Labor Agreements, shield the islands and defend our national interests. K. Mitsotakis did not talk to us about all this, that is, about the demands of the islanders.

Finally, regarding the great attempt to steal the name of PASOK Minister Dimitrios Kremastinos, we saw that in the end the symbols are not given away. It was funny the effort of the candidate MPs and the leaders of the ND who were trying to find a reason to justify their presence at the General Hospital of Rhodes, which is called Andreas Papandreou, at the unveiling of the bust of our late Minister. We honor him by promoting his work and planning the continuation of his vision for a new National Health System that will meet the needs of the islands. The absence of PASOK from there was symbolic as well as instructive.
