“Production building fire at Northvolt results in heavy smoke development”

The alarm was received at 2:31 p.m. as a ventilation unit in a production building caught fire. Sanna Bäckström from Northvolt’s press department reported heavy smoke development. According to Sos Alarm, the fire has been put out, and the emergency services are presently working on ventilating the 24,000 square meter building. Bäckström added that the ventilation process is still ongoing and may take some time. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

According to Sos Alarm, the flames have been extinguished and the emergency services are now working to ventilate the premises. The building where the fire started is about 24,000 square meters in size.
