Ministry of Health: 170 new verified to Omicron in the last day

The Ministry of Health updates today (Tuesday) that in the last day, 170 new verified vertebrae have been identified in our country.

To date, 341 verified persons have been identified in Israel: 234 verified persons returning from South Africa, England, France, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Italy, Namibia, Tanzania, Germany, Morocco, Spain, Serbia, Belgium, Cyprus and Turkey.

29 verified that are contacts of returnees from South Africa, England, USA and France. 66 in the community (3 events). 12 under investigation.

Of those 341 verified: 95 were unprotected (unvaccinated, recovered six months after recovery, and vaccinated in a second dose six months after vaccination), and 246 were protected.

There is a high suspicion of another 807 cases of Lorient Omicron exposure for which the flooring results have not yet been received: 432 – returns abroad, 64 – contacts, 119 – in the community and 192 in the test.

Of the total verified and the “high suspicion” (1,148):
• 528 with symptoms
600 without symptoms.
• 20 in testing process

The Ministry of Health stated that at this stage, those who are exposed (including vaccinated / recovering) to the verified Lorient Omicron or those defined as “highly suspected” should perform a PCR test and enter isolation for 14 days with the possibility of shortening isolation on the 7th day after a negative PCR test result.
