Local elections in Italy consolidate Meloni’s party

The reason is that no one there reached the 50% necessary to win in the first round, as regulated by electoral law.

In another section, the elections have confirmed the phenomenon of high abstention that lately afflicts Italy. A trend that was non-existent until recently but that has been accentuated in recent years.
