Talking to The Better India, Dr. Virender says, “Even in this era of carbon and chemicals, nature has given us many good resources, we just need to recognize them. During our research about natural substances, we came across Gaucrete. Cow dung has many properties and it is a boon from nature to us.
His house made of desi cow dung is completely sustainable and eco-friendly as well as chemical free. This very beautiful and desi house has been made using gaucrete, mud, stone and waste materials; Because of which the ‘walls can breathe!’ The temperature here is naturally warm in winter and cool in summer. Also, this house is also water resistant.
Desi cow dung has many benefits
Being a Wellbeing Doctor, Virender says, “Apart from growing and eating organic, it is also very important for humans to live in a healthy and organic environment. This increases our age by many years. He further says that this house made of cow dung is also an important means of staying healthy, away from diseases.
The specialty of plaster and bricks made from desi cow dung is that this house made of them is capable of withstanding earthquake shocks just like concrete. Also it keeps the house free from pollution and germs; There is very little chance of getting termites in it. In addition, it is cheaper than concrete, which means that a house made of cow dung is not only good for the environment, but is also cost-effective.
Dr. Virender’s father Sardar Hardeep Singh Bhullar also had a lot of contribution and support in building this special house. His special house built among many common houses is an example for the society today and people from nearby areas also come to see it.
