In the run-up to the first round of Turkey’s presidential election last Sunday, Twitter blocked a series of tweets critical of the Erdogan regime at the request of the Turkish government. Critics are keen on the company, accusing owner Elon Musk, who himself always emphasizes the importance of free speech, of hypocrisy, and question whether the business interests of Musk’s aerospace company SpaceX played a role.
