In the only public school in the Seville neighborhood of Los Remedios, the AMPA has denounced the suppression of an educational line for 3-year-old students, despite the fact that there is demand from families who have requested this center for said cycle, and who removed, their children would be sent to centers they did not request.
According to the association, after the Triana-Los Remedios Schooling Commission, “families will lose the free choice of school” after the suppression of the educational line as it is the only public school in the neighborhood.
While the educational administration of the Board uses the drop in birth rates as an excuse, there have been several educational lines that have been closed. However, a good number of complaints have criticized that said elimination of classrooms has occurred in public education and not in the concerted one.
«Without institutional support, public education goes to the second division. The current regulations cause a situation of defenselessness and we ask that the stolen line be returned to us and that the educational offer remain until the end of the schooling process ”said the AMPA.
