Since taking a stand in defense of women during a speech in the Chamber of Deputies on International Women’s Day, evangelical federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira has become the target of intolerance by groups linked to the LGBT+ movement.
As GospelMais had already reported, Nikolas became the target of actions that accuse him of “transphobia”, an expression used to refer to people who would have discriminated against those who identify as transgender.
On the occasion of his speech, in March, Nikolas put on a wig and mocked the fact that male people claim that they can be “woman”, precisely “trans woman”. The deputy said that this narrative has actually harmed women, as it would be putting women’s achievements in check.
“Women are losing their space for men who feel like women,” he said at the time. “I could go to jail if I am convicted of transphobia. Why did I swear or ask to kill? No. Because, on International Women’s Day two years ago, I congratulated XX women.”

Now, second Antagonist Nikolas Ferreira disclosed on social media that the National LGBTI+ Alliance and the Brazilian Association of Homotransaffective Families (Abrafh) are asking in court for compensation of no less than R$ 5 million for collective damages.
According to the entities, “the Brazilian population should not be allowed to be exposed to criminally transphobic speeches uttered in the highest sphere of the country’s Legislative Power, through serious violation of fundamental values historically conquered, exclusively so that the parliamentarian, customary inciter of hatred , gain more followers and likes on social networks”.
When commenting on the request, Nikolas again mocked defenders of gender ideology, suggesting that the authors of the action must think that he identifies as rich. “I must be really transrico… for people to think I have 5 million”, commented the deputy.
