Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The context of events indicates the disintegration of the Taqaddam Party, with the defection of three deputies from the party’s leader, Muhammad al-Halbousi, who is struggling to withstand the winds of change, which seek to exclude him from the presidency of Parliament.

According to well-informed sources, the deputies informed the Takadum leadership in Baghdad that the defection is inevitable and irreversible.

The three deputies will join the Azm coalition.

The leader of the popular movement, Muhammad Dahham, said that the Sovereignty Alliance will disintegrate into conflicting parties, which are the Taqaddam party headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi, the Arab Project headed by Khamis al-Khanjar, and Taawun headed by the governor of Anbar, Ali Farhan.

And last Monday, an independent politician close to the coordination framework, Saad al-Muttalbi, said that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi was awaiting dismissal during the approval of the budget.

Researcher Salim al-Dulaimi said that there are signs of a split in the Sovereignty Alliance due to positions and the distribution of bodies, and al-Halbousi will leave very soon.

In statements, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, said that the issue of removing Muhammad al-Halbousi is only on Facebook, while Sunni leaders are preparing for an alliance that may be the most important Sunni front since 2003, according to a leader in the “sovereignty” coalition, who asked not to be named.

On the other hand, sources say that the Sovereignty Coalition will announce the joining of new parties to it, amid sharp differences between Khamis al-Khanjar and Muhammad al-Halbousi, the leaders of the two main parties that formed the coalition after the 2021 elections.

The political researcher Abdul Aziz al-Shihabi talks about the tyranny of al-Halbousi with decision and influence and the lack of appeasement of his allies, as well as the framework not forgetting the state of stalemate and political embarrassment to which he was subjected during the days of the majority of al-Sadr, al-Halbousi and Barzani. for them.

However, sources say that external influences will intervene to direct the ship of the Sunni forces, and that Al-Halbousi is counting a lot on that.

The conflict between Khamis al-Khanjar and Muhammad al-Halbousi over the leadership of the Sunni component in Iraq is due to competition over Sunni representation in the Iraqi government. Since 2003, each side has sought to strengthen its position and influence and increase its popularity among the Sunnis in Iraq.

The struggle over the leadership of the Sunni component in Iraq reflects the political and social tensions that Iraq is experiencing in general, which need comprehensive political and economic solutions to achieve stability in the country.
