Kerala new Covid guidelines on the basis of Omicron situation | Discharge only after the test result of those confirmed by Omicron is negative: Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram: Omicron in the state (Omicron) Test results of confirmed patients (Covid test result) Discharge only after observation after being negative (DischargeHealth Minister Veena GeorgeVeena George). High Risk in the State (High Risk) Health Minister Veena George has said that self-monitoring should be strictly adhered to in the case of Omicron confirmation for more people coming from non-national countries.

Currently those coming from high risk countries have seven days of mandatory quarantine and seven days of self-monitoring. Meanwhile, those from other countries have 14 days of self-monitoring. Many individuals who have been self-monitoring have been found to be violating guidelines issued by the Department of Health. Health Minister Veena George said those coming from non-high risk countries should strictly observe self-monitoring and not go to crowded places for any reason as this would affect the state’s Omicon immunity. The decision was taken at a high – level meeting chaired by Minister Veena George.

So far 15 Omicon cases have been confirmed in the state. People from other states will be sent for genetic testing if the Kovid is positive. If there is a cluster in a sudden location, samples from there will also be sent for genetic testing.

At a high-level meeting chaired by Minister Veena George, the arrangements made in the hospitals to deal with the increasing number of Omicron patients were discussed. The co-operation of private hospitals has also been ensured if required.

Airport Surveillance (Airport Surveillance) Is working well. Many of those who check in at the airport are negative. When tested later, the Kovir becomes positive (Covid Positive). Hence Community Surveillance (Community Surveillance) Will be strengthened. The number of people coming from non-high risk countries will be increased.
