Watan Al-Youm: The Council of Higher Education decided, in its session held today, Thursday, 18-5-2023, headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Azmy Governorate, to exempt the presidents of the following official universities from their positions as of its date, and they are:
• Prof. Dr. President of Mu’tah University
• Prof. Dr. President of Al al-Bayt University
• Prof. Dr. President of Tafila Technical University
The Higher Education Council’s decision to exempt came after studying the recommendations of the evaluation committee previously formed by the Higher Education Council for this purpose to evaluate the performance of the presidents of the official Jordanian universities during their tenure as university presidency, and according to the evaluation form approved by the Higher Education Council, which included criteria and indicators within each criterion that are objectively measurable. And complete impartiality, and the most important of these criteria: reliability, quality assurance and universality, teaching, scientific research, management of human and financial resources, in addition to reports and recommendations received from university boards of trustees.
