The Alzheimer Trefpunt Kampen is organizing a Meeting Point evening on Monday evening 5 June for people with dementia, for their loved ones and for people who want to know more about Alzheimer’s.
A theater performance is organized on this last evening of the season. Theater group UtRaakt from Heino plays the performance “Wandering together gives direction”.
In this performance they show how dementia takes possession of mother Anna (Dinie Lugtenberg), but also nestles itself in the life of her daughter Rie (Rie Horstman). We see how Rie walks with Anna, right through the confusion. Everything they encounter along the way is discussed and we let the audience experience and feel it. It is not only about the big moments, but also about the small ones.
We take our audience into the special world of dementia through diary moments, private photos, sound fragments, paintings and, of course, staged scenes.
The evening starts at 7.30 pm in the center for art and education Quintus, Vloeddijk 38, 8261 GC Kampen. Walk-in from 19:00.
