Qatar appreciates Turkey and UN’s efforts in grain deal

In a written statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, it was stated that the extension of the agreement on the shipment of grain from the Black Sea was welcomed.

In the statement, which hoped that the grain shipment would alleviate the food crisis in the world, it was stated that as Qatar, all the efforts made by the UN and Turkey in this process were appreciated.

The statement also added, “We reaffirm Qatar’s support for all international efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.” statements were included.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that it was decided to extend the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement, which was expected to expire on May 18, for another 2 months.

The said agreement was made in Istanbul on July 22, 2022 between Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and the UN.
