The helicopter was carrying four people, including Gelle. But the helicopter crashed as it reached the northeastern part of the island of Madagascar. Serge Gelle, who fell from a helicopter, fought for his life at sea for 12 hours. Eventually he reached the shore alive. Gelle’s reaction to the accident was that he felt a little cold but was not injured. An accompanying police officer also reached the shore with Gelley. But the search for the other two accomplices continues.

“It’s not time for me to die,” said Gelle, 57. The helicopter crashed while en route to visit the site after a boat capsized in the waters off Madagascar, killing several people. At least 39 people have been killed in a boat accident. Galle escaped by using the seat of the wrecked helicopter to float away.
